Payel is a professionally trained singer, performer, and teacher with over 23 years of experience in vocal training.

She specializes in Rabindra Sangeet, which are songs composed from the poems of Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. In addition to Rabindra Sangeet, she has extensive experience in teaching and performing Indian classical and semi-classical forms of music such as Toppa and Bhajan. She also possesses a deep understanding of Folk Music, particularly Bengal's unique "Baul" Music, which has gained recognition in the world music scene.

Payel's talent extends beyond her vocal abilities; she is also a skilled performer with a knack for engaging audiences. Her experience as a lead stage player has honed her communication skills, allowing her to effectively emote and connect with audiences during events.
